Nestled on the stunning NSW South Coast, the Lake Conjola Fishing Club is a vibrant social and recreational fishing club based within the Lake Conjola Bowling & Recreation Club. Located just 210 km south of Sydney and 20 km north of Ulladulla, we’re proud to welcome a growing community of more than 150 members who share a passion for fishing, the outdoors and great company.
Lake Conjola is one of the South Coast’s hidden gems. Its crystal-clear waters, expansive lake system and pristine three-kilometre estuary flowing to the ocean at Green Island create the perfect setting for anglers of all ages and experience levels. Whether you enjoy fishing the lake, estuary, beaches, rocks or offshore reefs, there’s always an adventure waiting.
Our club is about much more than fishing. It’s about bringing people together, sharing stories, making lifelong friendships and celebrating a love of the water. We welcome everyone—from first-time fishers and families to experienced anglers, holidaymakers and serious competitors.
Throughout the year, members enjoy eleven monthly competitions, friendly rivalry, club barbecues, social events and our annual Presentation Night. It’s a fantastic way to get outdoors, meet like-minded people and become part of a welcoming local community.
We offer five competition divisions:
- Open
- Women
- Junior
- Sub-Junior
- Lake 60+ (for members aged 60 and over who fish exclusively within Lake Conjola)
The Open, Women, Junior and Sub-Junior divisions each feature three categories:
- Lake
- Ocean
- Beach & Rock
Our competition season runs from November to September, with events typically held on the first full weekend of each month, culminating in our annual Presentation Night and celebration in October.
Lake Conjola has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s premier estuary fishing destinations, famous for metre-plus Dusky Flathead, trophy Tailor and an incredible variety of other species. Protecting this remarkable fishery is central to our club’s values. We promote responsible fishing through catch-and-release practices and sensible bag limits, ensuring future generations can enjoy the same exceptional fishing experiences.
