Club, which is located on the NSW South Coast approximately 210 klms south of Sydney and 20 klms north of Ulladulla. Our club currently has 125 members. The main lake is linked to the ocean by three kilometres of winding estuary that meets the sea at Green Island. The purpose of our club is to promote sustainable fishing practices and social camaraderie among our, variously, dedicated, earnest, casual and holidaying angling membership. We have 5 sections of competition – Open, Women, Lake 60+, Junior and Sub-Junior with 3 categories in each section (except Lake60+) – Lake/ Beach & Rock/ Ocean. There are monthly comps, usually the first full weekend of the month with our annual presentation and kneesup held in October each year. Lake Conjola is renowned for its giant Lizards, ie Dusky Flathead, which grow to over a metre in length, and horse Tailor up to 7kgs in weight. Our club rules encourage catch, photo

and release methods together with bag limits of 5 for most species to preserve stocks and also reward those with the skill to catch several species rather than just one. Only one dusky flathead per day over 70cms can be physically weighed in and any others over 70cms must be recorded and carefully released.

Our kind sponsors are Wayne and Pam at the Ulladulla Fishing Centre and masterchefs Toni and Jess at the Lake Conjola Bowling & Recreation Club’s fabulous ‘Lures Bistro’.
